- Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the chicken kebabs with the grilled vegetables and enjoy!
The history of Chicken Kebab served with grilled vegetables dates back to the Middle East, where skilled chefs marinated chunks of succulent chicken in a blend of aromatic spices and yogurt before skewering and grilling them to perfection. This dish has since become a staple in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, celebrated for its tantalizing flavors and vibrant presentation. Renowned restaurants like Istanbul's Nusr-Et and Beirut's Em Sherif are known for their mastery in preparing this dish, infusing it with their unique culinary expertise. The key to a perfect Chicken Kebab lies in the marination process, where the chicken absorbs the flavors, and the grilling technique, ensuring a smoky char and juicy tenderness. For a twist, some chefs incorporate alternative methods such as clay oven cooking or using different vegetable combinations to elevate the dish. Today, the best versions of this dish can be savored in authentic Middle Eastern and Mediterranean restaurants, where the marriage of tender chicken kebabs and charred grilled vegetables creates a symphony of flavors.
