  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Italian

Chicken Alfredo is a classic Italian-American dish that has become a staple in many restaurants and home kitchens. The history of Chicken Alfredo can be traced back to the early 20th century, when Italian chef Alfredo di Lelio created the dish for his pregnant wife who was experiencing morning sickness. The dish gained popularity in the United States after di Lelio's restaurant, Alfredo alla Scrofa, was frequented by American tourists and celebrities. The key to a delicious Chicken Alfredo lies in the creamy, cheesy sauce made with butter, heavy cream, and an abundance of parmesan cheese. The addition of extra parmesan cheese elevates the dish, adding a rich and nutty flavor to the velvety sauce. Today, Chicken Alfredo can be found on the menus of countless Italian restaurants across the globe, each with their own unique twist on the classic recipe. For the best version of this dish, look for a restaurant that uses high-quality parmesan cheese and fresh, tender chicken. Alternatively, consider making it at home and experiment with different types of parmesan cheese to find the perfect balance of flavors. Whether you're dining out or cooking at home, Chicken Alfredo with extra parmesan cheese is sure to satisfy your cravings for a comforting and indulgent meal.
