American

Chester's Popcorn Puffs have a rich history dating back to the 19th century, originating in the American Midwest. This beloved snack was first created by a group of innovative chefs in a small town in Indiana, who sought to elevate the traditional popcorn snack. The puffs gained popularity for their light, airy texture and irresistible buttery flavor. Today, the best versions of this dish can be found in local Midwestern diners and at state fairs, where they are often served with a sprinkle of savory cheese powder. The key to perfecting this dish lies in achieving the ideal balance of crispiness and buttery richness.
