Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup of softened unsalted butter, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of paprika, and 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder.
  • Add 1 cup of all-purpose flour to the cheese mixture and mix until crumbly.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of ice water to the mixture and knead until a dough forms.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.
  • Use a sharp knife or a pizza cutter to cut the dough into 1-inch squares.
  • Transfer the squares to the prepared baking sheet and poke a hole in the center of each square with a toothpick.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Allow the crackers to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
