Ingredients
- 1 pound of sausage
- 6 cups of frozen hash brown potatoes
- 1 can of condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup of sour cream
- 1/2 cup of chopped onion
- 1/2 cup of chopped green bell pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, cook 1 pound of sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine 6 cups of frozen hash brown potatoes, 1 can of condensed cream of chicken soup, 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, 1 cup of sour cream, 1/2 cup of chopped onion, 1/2 cup of chopped green bell pepper, 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
- Stir in the cooked sausage and mix well.
- Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
