Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 oz white chocolate, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened butter and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 2 cups of all-purpose flour, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix until a dough forms.
- Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. Use a celestial-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the cookies and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 8 oz of chopped white chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and creamy.
- Dip half of each cooled cookie into the melted white chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the dipped cookies back on the parchment paper to set.
- Let the white chocolate set completely before serving. Enjoy these celestial shortbread cookies dipped in white chocolate!
