American

Caramel covered pretzels have a rich history dating back to the 19th century when German immigrants brought their love for pretzels to America. The combination of sweet caramel and salty pretzels quickly became a popular treat, especially during the holiday season. Today, this indulgent snack is enjoyed worldwide and is often found at fairs, festivals, and gourmet candy shops. Chefs and confectioners have perfected the art of creating the perfect balance of crunchy pretzels and luscious caramel, with some adding a sprinkle of sea salt for an extra burst of flavor. For the best caramel covered pretzels, seek out artisanal candy stores or try making them at home using high-quality ingredients.
