  • In a separate large bowl, cream 1/2 cup of softened butter and 1 cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

  • Gradually mix in the flour mixture, alternating with 1/2 cup of milk, until just combined. Fold in 1 1/2 cups of diced apples.
