  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of heavy cream, 1 cup of whole milk, 3/4 cup of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Pour the cream mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually about 25-30 minutes.
  • During the last few minutes of churning, add the toasted pecans to the ice cream and continue churning until evenly distributed.
  • Transfer half of the churned ice cream to a freezer-safe container. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the ice cream. Repeat with the remaining ice cream and caramel sauce, using a knife to swirl the caramel into the ice cream.
