Ingredients
- 1 cup of unsalted butter
- 2 cups of granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.

- Add 4 large eggs and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture, and mix until smooth.

- Fold in 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

- Serve and enjoy!
Brownie bars are a beloved dessert with a rich history dating back to the late 19th century. The exact origin of brownie bars is a bit murky, but they are believed to have been created in the United States. These delectable treats are a cross between a cake and a cookie, with a dense, fudgy texture and a decadent chocolate flavor. Today, brownie bars can be found in bakeries, cafes, and restaurants across the globe. Chefs and home bakers alike have put their own unique spin on the classic brownie recipe, adding ingredients like nuts, caramel, or even a hint of espresso to elevate the flavor profile. One of the most famous variations of brownie bars is the "slutty brownie," which features layers of cookie dough, Oreo cookies, and brownie batter, creating a truly indulgent dessert experience. For the best brownie bars, it's essential to use high-quality chocolate and to not overbake them, ensuring a gooey, melt-in-your-mouth texture. Whether enjoyed on their own or paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, brownie bars continue to be a timeless treat that satisfies any sweet tooth.
