  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 1 cup of butter. Stir in 2 cups of sugar until well combined.
  • Add 4 large eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • Sift in 3/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
