Russian

Ground turkey Stroganoff is a delightful twist on the classic Russian dish. Originating in mid-19th century Russia, the original Beef Stroganoff was named after the influential Stroganov family. This dish gained popularity in the United States during the 1950s and has since become a beloved comfort food. Chefs across the globe have put their own spin on this dish, incorporating local ingredients and flavors. The key to a delicious ground turkey Stroganoff lies in the rich and creamy sauce, made with sour cream, onions, and mushrooms. For a healthier alternative, some recipes use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. Today, the best versions of this dish can be found in cozy family-owned restaurants and modern eateries that prioritize fresh, high-quality ingredients. Whether served over egg noodles or rice, the tender ground turkey and flavorful sauce make this dish a standout.
