Instructions

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • In a large bowl, mix together 1 pound of ground beef, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup BBQ sauce, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, and salt and pepper to taste. Form the mixture into 4 burger patties.
  • Grill the burger patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. During the last 2 minutes of grilling, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
  • While the burgers are grilling, grill the pineapple slices for 2-3 minutes on each side, until they have grill marks and are slightly caramelized.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, until they are lightly golden brown.
