Ingredients
- 1 box of chocolate cake mix
- 1/2 cup of chocolate frosting
- 12 ounces of white candy melts
- Red food coloring
- 12 lollipop sticks
- Wax paper
- 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
Instructions
- Bake the chocolate cake according to the instructions on the box. Let it cool completely.
- Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl. Add 1/2 cup of chocolate frosting and mix until well combined.
- Roll the cake mixture into 12 evenly sized balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
- Melt the white candy melts in the microwave according to the package instructions. Add a few drops of red food coloring to achieve a light red color, resembling a baseball.
- Dip the tip of each lollipop stick into the melted candy melts and insert it into each cake ball. Place them in the freezer for 15 minutes to set.
- Once the sticks are set, carefully dip each cake ball into the melted candy melts, ensuring the entire ball is coated. Allow any excess to drip off.
- Place the cake pops back onto the wax paper and let them set for a few minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup of vegetable oil with 1/4 cup of powdered sugar to create a thin glaze. Use a toothpick to draw the baseball seams on each cake pop.
