  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • Place the pork chops on the preheated grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
  • During the last 2 minutes of grilling, brush the pork chops with the balsamic glaze, turning once to caramelize the glaze on both sides.
  • Remove the pork chops from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve the grilled pork chops with any remaining balsamic glaze on the side.

Balsamic glazed grilled pork chops have a rich history rooted in Italian culinary traditions. The dish originated in the Emilia-Romagna region, known for its balsamic vinegar production. Renowned chefs like Massimo Bottura have elevated this classic dish, infusing it with modern flair. The key to perfecting this dish lies in the quality of the balsamic glaze, which should strike a balance between sweet and tangy flavors. The succulent pork chops are marinated in a blend of balsamic vinegar, garlic, and herbs, then grilled to perfection. Today, the best versions of this dish can be found in authentic Italian trattorias, where chefs honor tradition while adding their own creative twists.
