Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 9-inch pie crust
- 6 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cups of potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 cup of cheddar cheese, shredded
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet.
- Add the diced onion to the skillet with the bacon fat and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the diced potatoes to the skillet and cook until they are tender and lightly browned, about 10 minutes.
- Spread the cooked bacon, onion, and potatoes in the prepared pie crust. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper. Pour this mixture over the bacon, onion, potatoes, and cheese in the pie crust.
- Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
- Allow the pie to cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
