Ingredients
- 1 box of cake mix (flavor of your choice)
- 1/2 cup of frosting (flavor that complements the cake)
- 24 ounces of candy melts (color of your choice)
- 24 lollipop sticks
- Sprinkles or decorations (optional)
Instructions
- Bake the cake according to the instructions on the box. Allow it to cool completely.
- Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs in a large bowl.
- Add 1/2 cup of frosting to the cake crumbs and mix until well combined.
- Using your hands, roll the cake mixture into 24 evenly sized balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Melt the candy melts in the microwave according to the package instructions.
- Dip the tip of each lollipop stick into the melted candy melts and insert it into each cake ball, about halfway through.
- Dip each cake pop into the melted candy melts, allowing any excess to drip off. If desired, decorate with sprinkles or other decorations before the candy coating sets.
- Place the cake pops upright in a cake pop stand or styrofoam block to set completely.
- Once the candy coating is set, the cake pops are ready to be enjoyed at the baby shower!
