Avocado Bacon Burger with Fried Egg Lettuce Wraps
Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 slices of bacon
- 4 large lettuce leaves
- 4 eggs
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- 1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- 2. In the same skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it apart with a spatula, until it is browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 3. In a separate non-stick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your desired doneness (we recommend sunny-side up or over-easy for a runny yolk).
- 4. Assemble the lettuce wraps by placing a large lettuce leaf on a plate. Top with a quarter of the cooked ground beef, a slice of cheddar cheese, a slice of tomato, a few slices of red onion, a few slices of avocado, 2 slices of bacon, and a fried egg.
- 5. Carefully wrap the lettuce around the filling to create a lettuce wrap burger. Secure with toothpicks if needed.
- 6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
