Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 bunch of asparagus, trimmed
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Using a sharp knife, cut a pocket into the side of each chicken breast, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- Season the inside of each chicken breast with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Place 4-5 asparagus spears and 1 slice of Swiss cheese inside each chicken breast pocket.
- Secure the openings with toothpicks to hold the filling in place.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the stuffed chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted.
- Remove the toothpicks before serving.
