Apple and Almond Tart

Ingredients
- 1 sheet of frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 3 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of almond flour
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup of sliced almonds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and transfer it to a 9-inch tart pan. Trim any excess pastry hanging over the edges.
- In a bowl, toss the apple slices with granulated sugar and cinnamon. Arrange the apple slices in a circular pattern over the puff pastry.
- In another bowl, mix together the almond flour, softened butter, and brown sugar. Spread this almond mixture over the apples in the tart pan.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg and sprinkle the sliced almonds over the top of the tart.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and the apples are tender.
- Allow the tart to cool for 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
