The Apple and Almond Tart, also known as the French Apple Tart, has a rich history dating back to the 17th century in France. This classic dessert features a buttery pastry crust filled with thinly sliced apples and a delicious almond cream. Renowned French pastry chefs like Pierre Hermé and Gaston Lenôtre have popularized this delectable treat, making it a staple in patisseries across France.
