  • 1 tbsp lime juice

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine 1 lb of ground turkey, 1/4 cup of bread crumbs, 1/4 cup of finely chopped onion, 1/4 cup of chopped fresh cilantro, 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tsp of cumin, 1/2 tsp of salt, and 1/4 tsp of black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Divide the turkey mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties.
  • Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Place the turkey burgers on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through.
  • While the burgers are cooking, make the chipotle mayo by combining 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, 2 finely chopped chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, 1 tbsp of adobo sauce, and 1 tbsp of lime juice in a small bowl. Mix well to combine.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, until lightly golden.
  • Assemble the burgers by spreading a generous amount of chipotle mayo on the bottom half of each bun, then placing a turkey burger patty on top. Add any desired toppings such as lettuce, tomato, and avocado, then cover with the top half of the bun.
