Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix together 1 lb of chum meat, 1/4 cup breadcrumbs, 1 egg, 1/4 cup chopped onion, and salt and pepper to taste.
  • Form the mixture into 4 burger patties.
  • Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat and cook the chum patties for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
  • While the patties are cooking, mix together 1/4 cup chopped pickles, 1/4 cup ketchup, and 1/4 cup mayonnaise to make the chum sauce.
  • When the patties are done, place a slice of cheese on each patty and allow it to melt slightly.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
