Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package (14.3 ounces) Oreo cookies
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, toss 1 pound of sliced strawberries with 1/4 cup of granulated sugar. Let sit for 15 minutes to macerate.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat 2 cups of heavy cream with 1/4 cup of powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Dip each Oreo cookie into 1/2 cup of milk and layer the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish with a single layer of cookies.
- Spread half of the sweetened strawberries over the cookie layer, then spread half of the whipped cream over the strawberries.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cookies, strawberries, and whipped cream.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the cookies to soften.
