Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F. Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened butter and 2 cups of granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in 4 large eggs, one at a time, then stir in 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with 1 cup of buttermilk. Mix until just combined.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared bundt pan. Drizzle 1/2 cup of salted caramel sauce over the batter. Top with the remaining batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once the cake is cooled, drizzle the remaining 1/2 cup of salted caramel sauce over the top. Dust with 1/2 cup of powdered sugar before serving.
