Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 box red velvet cake mix
- 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 16 oz white chocolate melting wafers
- Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Bake the red velvet cake according to the package instructions. Allow it to cool completely.
- In a large bowl, crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs.
- Add the softened cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the cake crumbs. Mix until well combined.
- Using your hands, roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Place the sheet in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to firm up the cake balls.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate wafers in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
- Using a fork or toothpick, dip each cake ball into the melted white chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the dipped cake balls back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- If desired, sprinkle the cake balls with sprinkles before the white chocolate sets.
- Allow the white chocolate to set completely before serving or storing the cake balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
