Ingredients

Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together 1 cup of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon of paprika, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of milk and 1 egg.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until well combined to form a thick batter.
- Heat 2 cups of vegetable oil in a deep pot over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove the popplers from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
