Ingredients
- 8 slices of mortadella
- 4 slices of provolone cheese
- 4 slices of mozzarella cheese
- 4 slices of Italian bread
- 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
- Spread the mayonnaise mixture onto 4 slices of Italian bread.
- Layer 2 slices of mortadella, 2 slices of provolone cheese, and 2 slices of mozzarella cheese on each of the 4 slices of bread.
- Top each sandwich with the remaining 4 slices of bread to form 2 sandwiches.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
