Instructions

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.
  • Place the patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. During the last 2 minutes of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and let it melt.
  • While the patties are cooking, place the bacon slices on the grill and cook until crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard to make the sauce.
  • To assemble the burgers, spread the mayonnaise mixture on the bottom half of each hamburger bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the sauce, followed by a tomato slice, a cooked patty with melted cheese, 2 slices of bacon, avocado slices, and red onion slices. Top with the other half of the hamburger bun.
