Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of honey, 1/4 cup of Dijon mustard, 1/4 cup of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of paprika, and salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  • Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then grill for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through.
  • During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the honey mustard sauce on both sides of the chicken breasts and top each with a slice of cheddar cheese. Close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
  • While the chicken is grilling, slice the pretzel buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill.
  • To assemble the sandwiches, place a grilled chicken breast on the bottom half of each pretzel bun. Top with lettuce and tomato, then cover with the top half of the bun.
