Grilled Pineapple Sundaes

Ingredients
- 1 ripe pineapple, peeled, cored, and cut into 1-inch slices
- 1/4 cup of honey
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1 quart of vanilla ice cream
- 1/2 cup of chopped nuts (optional)
- 4 maraschino cherries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup of honey and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
- Brush both sides of the pineapple slices with the honey-cinnamon mixture.
- Place the pineapple slices on the preheated grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until grill marks appear and the pineapple is slightly caramelized.
- Remove the grilled pineapple from the grill and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Scoop a generous portion of vanilla ice cream into each serving bowl.
- Top each bowl of ice cream with 2-3 grilled pineapple slices.
- Sprinkle with chopped nuts, if desired.
- Garnish with a maraschino cherry, if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
