Grilled halibut has a rich history dating back to ancient coastal communities where fresh fish was a staple. Today, renowned chefs like Gordon Ramsay and Bobby Flay have popularized this dish, infusing it with their own unique flavors. The Pacific Northwest, with its abundant halibut supply, has become a hub for this delectable dish. The key to a perfect grilled halibut lies in the freshness of the fish and the simplicity of the seasoning. Lemon, garlic, and herbs like thyme and dill complement the delicate flavor of the halibut. For a twist, consider cedar plank grilling for a smoky, aromatic touch. The best version of this dish can be found in coastal restaurants known for their fresh seafood.
