Ingredients
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 4 cups cold water
- 1/4 cup fresh ginger, thinly sliced
- 1 cup sparkling water
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and fresh mint for garnish
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup of white sugar and 1/2 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, the remaining 3 1/2 cups of cold water, and the cooled sugar syrup. Stir well to combine.
- Add the thinly sliced fresh ginger to the pitcher and stir. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to infuse.
- Once the lemonade has infused, remove the ginger slices from the pitcher. Stir in the sparkling water.
- To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the ginger-infused homemade lemonade over the ice. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint. Enjoy!
