Galactic Cake Pops with Surprise Filling

Created by: Howcan Team

Ingredients

  • 1 box of cake mix (flavor of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of frosting (flavor of your choice)
  • 24 caramel candies or 1/2 cup of peanut butter
  • 24 ounces of candy melts (color of your choice)
  • 24 lollipop sticks
  • Sprinkles or edible glitter for decoration

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to the temperature specified on the cake mix box. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • Prepare the cake batter according to the instructions on the box, using 1/2 cup of water, 1/3 cup of vegetable oil, and 3 eggs. Mix until well combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake according to the package instructions. Once baked, allow the cake to cool completely.
  • Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl. Add 1 cup of frosting and mix until the mixture holds together. If the mixture is too dry, add more frosting a tablespoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
  • Take a small amount of the cake mixture and flatten it in the palm of your hand. Place a caramel candy or a small scoop of peanut butter in the center, then roll the cake mixture into a ball, ensuring the filling is completely covered. Repeat with the remaining cake mixture and filling.
  • Melt the candy melts according to the package instructions. Dip the tip of a lollipop stick into the melted candy and insert it into a cake ball. Repeat with the remaining cake balls.
  • Dip each cake pop into the melted candy, allowing any excess to drip off. Decorate with sprinkles or edible glitter while the candy coating is still wet.
  • Place the cake pops upright in a styrofoam block or cake pop stand to set completely. Once the candy coating is firm, the cake pops are ready to enjoy!
