Fried Cheesecake
Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 8-ounce package of cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 cup of graham cracker crumbs
- 1 cup of vegetable oil for frying
- 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of milk
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, beat 1 8-ounce package of softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 egg until smooth.
- Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, form the cheesecake mixture into 6 balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for at least 2 hours.
- In a deep skillet, heat 1 cup of vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Gradually whisk in 1/2 cup of milk until the batter is smooth.
- Dip each frozen cheesecake ball into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off, then carefully place it into the hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown.
- Remove the fried cheesecake from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve the fried cheesecake warm, dusted with powdered sugar or drizzled with chocolate sauce. Enjoy!
