Instructions

  • Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot.
  • Add the cream of chicken soup, chopped onion, sliced carrots, sliced celery, chicken broth, dried thyme, garlic powder, and black pepper to the crock pot.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and vegetables are tender.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together 1 cup of flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  • Cut in 1/4 cup of butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Stir in 1/2 cup of milk until just combined.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the dumpling mixture on top of the chicken and vegetable mixture in the crock pot.
  • Cover and cook on high for an additional 1 hour, or until the dumplings are cooked through.
  • Stir in the frozen peas during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
