Created by: Howcan Team

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3-4 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a donut pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together 2 1/4 cups of flour, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
  • In a separate bowl, mix 1/2 cup of milk, 2 eggs, 1/4 cup of melted butter, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Spoon the batter into a piping bag or a large zip-top bag with the corner snipped off. Pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the donuts spring back when lightly pressed. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • While the donuts are cooling, make the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together 1 cup of powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 3-4 tablespoons of milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Dip each cooled donut into the glaze, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the glazed donuts back on the wire rack to set for a few minutes before serving.
  • Enjoy your homemade cinnamon sugar glazed donuts!
