Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  • In another bowl, whisk together 8 ounces of mascarpone cheese, 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined. Set aside.
  • In a shallow dish, combine 1/2 cup of brewed espresso and 2 tablespoons of coffee liqueur.
  • Quickly dip each ladyfinger cookie into the espresso mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy, and arrange them in the bottom of an 8x8 inch serving dish.
  • Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, then sprinkle with half of the grated bittersweet chocolate and 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt flakes.
  • Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, bittersweet chocolate, and sea salt flakes.
