Ingredients
- 6 cups of frozen shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed
- 1/2 cup of melted butter
- 1 can of condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 1/2 cups of sour cream
- 1/2 cup of chopped onion
- 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 2 cups of crushed cornflakes cereal
- 1/4 cup of melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the thawed hash brown potatoes, 1/2 cup of melted butter, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, chopped onion, shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper.
- Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix the crushed cornflakes with 1/4 cup of melted butter. Sprinkle this mixture over the potato mixture in the baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly, and the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
