Ingredients
- 4 lbs pork shoulder
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 hamburger buns
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together 1 cup of BBQ sauce, 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika, 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, 1 tablespoon of onion powder, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper to create the BBQ sauce.
- Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker and pour the BBQ sauce over the pork, making sure it is evenly coated.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the pork is very tender and easy to shred with a fork.
- Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
- Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and stir it into the BBQ sauce. Let it cook for an additional 15-30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Toast the hamburger buns in the oven or on a grill for a few minutes.
- Spoon the BBQ pulled pork onto the bottom half of each bun, and cover with the top half of the bun.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
