Ingredients
- 1 cup of chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup of chopped pistachios
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
- 1/2 cup of melted butter
- 6 sheets of phyllo dough
- 2 cups of vanilla ice cream
- 1/4 cup of honey
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together 1 cup of chopped walnuts, 1/2 cup of chopped pistachios, 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves.
- Brush a sheet of phyllo dough with melted butter, then sprinkle a thin layer of the nut mixture on top. Repeat this process with 5 more sheets of phyllo dough, creating a stack of buttered and nut-covered sheets.
- Using a sharp knife, cut the stacked phyllo dough into small squares or triangles.
- Place the baklava pieces on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Allow to cool completely.
- In a serving dish, scoop 2 cups of vanilla ice cream and top with the baked baklava pieces.
- Drizzle 1/4 cup of honey over the ice cream and baklava.
