Ingredients
- 1 cup of Quaker oats
- 2 cups of water
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 cup of sliced bananas
- 1/4 cup of chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Stir in 1 cup of Quaker oats and reduce heat to medium-low.
- Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add 1/2 cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Stir well and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it sit for 1 minute.
- Divide the oatmeal into two bowls.
- Top each bowl with 1/4 cup of sliced bananas and 1/4 cup of chopped nuts if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
