Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together 2 1/4 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt.
- In a large bowl, cream 1 cup of softened unsalted butter, 3/4 cup of granulated sugar, 3/4 cup of packed brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
- Beat in the 2 eggs, one at a time, until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in 2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
- Sprinkle each cookie with a pinch of flaky sea salt.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
