The history of the Reuben sandwich with turkey is a delightful twist on the classic. This beloved sandwich originated in the early 20th century, with its exact origins being a subject of debate. Some claim it was first crafted by a chef at Reuben's Restaurant in New York City, while others attribute its creation to a deli in Omaha, Nebraska. Regardless of its origins, the Reuben sandwich with turkey has become a staple in delis and diners across the United States. The key to a perfect turkey Reuben lies in the quality of the ingredients, particularly the rye bread, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing. Today, you can find exceptional versions of this sandwich in iconic delis like Katz's Delicatessen in New York City or Langer's Delicatessen in Los Angeles. The combination of tender, flavorful turkey, tangy sauerkraut, and creamy dressing nestled between slices of toasted rye bread makes for a truly irresistible culinary experience. Whether you're a fan of the classic corned beef Reuben or the turkey variation, this iconic sandwich continues to hold a special place in the hearts of food enthusiasts everywhere.
