Fried Snickers
Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 4 Snickers candy bars
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cold water
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Unwrap the Snickers candy bars and place them in the freezer for at least 2 hours or until frozen solid.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of cornstarch, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
- Gradually whisk in 1 cup of cold water until a smooth batter forms. The batter should be thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F (175°C). The oil should be at least 2 inches deep.
- Remove the frozen Snickers bars from the freezer and carefully dip each one into the batter, ensuring they are completely coated.
- Carefully place the battered Snickers bars into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding the fryer.
- Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried Snickers bars from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Dust the fried Snickers bars with powdered sugar if desired, and serve immediately while still warm and gooey.
