Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together 2 1/4 cups of flour and 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda.
- In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup of butter, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract until smooth.
- Beat in the 2 eggs, one at a time, then stir in the flour mixture until just blended.
- Fold in the 2 cups of chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
